    Hi all,

My Win 8.1 laptop is connected to a 21" LED monitor I use at work and I use the "Extend" function to use the laptop screen as the second screen when the 21" screen is connected.

I have TVMC (http://www.tvaddons.ag/tvmc-windows) installed on my laptop and I'd like it to automatically launch on the laptop screen rather than the 21" screen. Normally I can just reduce the size of the application tab, grab it and drag it to the laptop screen but as TVMC launches in full screen mode I'm baffled as to how I can either move it from the 21" screen to the laptop screen or set the default so it opens on the laptop screen. I've been through the TVMC settings and can't find anything which allows me to choose which screen the app launches to.

    Any suggestions?

I believe NVIDIA's nView allows you to do this, but you'd have to have an NVIDIA card in the laptop.

The only other thing I can think of would be to set the laptop screen as your main display rather than the external monitor. You can do that in the screen resolution settings.

Is it a desktop or taskbar link that you use to run TVMC?

    Possibly Nirsoft MultimonitorTool?
    http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/multi_monitor_tool.html

I'm assuming that your laptop screen is called \\.\DISPLAY1
It's name on your setup will appear when you run the program in GUI mode.

    MultiMonitorTool.exe /SetPrimary \\.\DISPLAY1
    MultiMonitorTool.exe /MoveWindow Primary Process "TVMC.exe"

(I'm only guessing the TVMC.exe bit)

    Alternatively DisplayFusion
    http://www.displayfusion.com/Compare/
(30 day demo and free version claim the option)
