Free return shipping to amazon?

    Do amazon give you a printable sheet to allow you to return the item to them for free?

    Depends on which amazon, what the issue is and how long since you've taken delivery of the item - but short answer is yes.

    On Amazon UK if the item is listed as Fulfilled By Amazon or Sold by Amazon and the problem is for example a defective item, damaged item or something as a result of Amazon's error (they sent wrong item). The Amazon will refund return postage or provide a pre-paid label.

    If the item is a marketplace item then the situation is different and you'd be best to contact the seller, some will refund or provide a pre-paid label.

    I've had to ship a few defective things back to Amazon which arrived here via Parcel Motel into Northern Ireland. Their standard procedure is to provide a pre-paid shipping label, which is of course no good with An Post here. I just send the item back by Registered Post (paying for it myself) and I get a receipt with proof of postage and I just phone up amazon afterwards once the faulty item is received. They then just refund me back the cost of the postage.

    You can also contact them on chat, explain you are in Ireland and they will provide prepay labels for anpost.
