    Hey Folks,

A colleague is looking to get the above for his missus. I'm just curious if this has a troublesome diesel engine and what might be the key things to look out for?

Swirl flaps should be removed and replaced with blanks.

Turbo breather filter should be replaced with the newer shaped vortex filter every 2nd or 3rd oil service.

ABS/TC module can fail on these, can be the module or an ABS sensor on a wheel. Modules can be reconditioned these days for a fraction of the price of a new one.

Another thing to note is that BMW farmed out the building of that model X3 so build quality is not up to their usual standard. Some of the plastics used in the interior feel quite cheap and brittle too.
