    From what I can tell, their storyline goes deepest into the ancient lore of Westeros.... (Fairy children... 3-eyed crow etc)....

    I imagine it was 1 story thread too much for the show to currently carry & a story not truely connected to the political/military machinations of the rest of the show.

    I'd imagine it could be due to George Martin. The show has completely caught up with the books when it comes to the Bran storyline. Maybe he made the decision not to allow the show move on there. Could turn out to be an extremely important story and he doesn't want them changing it in anyway.

    I think it's less to do with Martin but, with Bran's story being up to date, the rest of the show needs to catch up for the timeline to work for whatever happens in season and/or book 6.

    Yeah that's more likely, show will be over taking the book regardless.

    I think they needed to get Bran where he is on screen before he grew any bigger! Poor Hodors back!
