    Hi all,
Looking at getting a remap but struggling to find an insurance company that will insure any mods.
Can anyone recommend a broker/insurance company for reasonable money?
    Thanks

Think you are out of luck...if you were in the UK, it would be no extra, or a token amount.

Don't know of any company here that will quote, so I guess all Irish people with remapped cars must not tell their insurance companies..?

Well I think FBD might because if you look try their online quote thing it has a tickbox for modifications, if you tick it gives you a list of possible mods and it has three options for "engine chips". One for 0-11% increase in bhp, one for 11-26% increase and the other for more than 26%. That said FBD lost a lot of money last year so any premium they offer will more than likely be a rip off for this year anyway, but if a big company like that offer it I'm sure others must.
Anyway OP I got a good price with coverinaclick.ie this year, they're a broker you could try although I don't know how they are around mods. First Ireland and Britton are probably worth a try too. Are you under 25 though? I think that will make your search more difficult.

A decent Broker will be able to help I'm sure. I'd imagine the likes of ARB or Lloyds might take on the risk.

I am with liberty, they insure remaps if you had the policy since the Quinn days, my car is +120% of the factory power and every broker and company laughed at me, paying 900 fully comp with liberty but am stuck with them for life basically
