Looks like IE plan to install an additional platform at Limerick J to improve times at some point in the near future. A long overdue development.

Just may lead to the type of schedules I spoke about some months ago.

    source?

The Lunchtime Show (part 2) near the start. On the playing bar across the top of the screen click on the H part of (Healy) and it starts around there.

Is this for the Limerick - Waterford train to speed up or so 2 Dublin - Cork trains can stop at once?

Pity, something should be done to cut transit time. Really awkward on drivers too, although it should do something for Limerick - Cork passengers at least.

so passengers from the waterford limerick train will still have an unseamless connection with other trains? mind you when its destruction is complete it won't matter anyway

I'm very highly educated. I know words, i have the best words, nobody has better words then me.

Not quiet, when the 15 minute gap for Limerick shuttle is eliminated then the 15 minutes is also eliminated for Waterford between Dublin/Cork arrivals/departures.

The key to getting better services on the cross-country line is, as I've posted here any time this topic arises, getting the up and down trains on Dublin-Cork to arrive and depart simultaneously at Limerick Junction.

However, there will have to be sufficient time allowed for passengers to cross a footbridge to the connecting trains.

The potential for delays should be reduced significantly as the need for Dublin-Cork trains to use the other track for over a mile will be eliminated.
