I purchased a new bike on Saturday and took it out for a spin the last couple of days. its a lovely ride but I've noticed a bit of a creaking sound when i'm cycling up hill...is this normal on a fully carbon bike?
Also when in top gear (20th) the chain seems to run a make a rubbing noise. Is this normal or should i be worried?

It could be anything really. But check your saddle, seatpost, pedals. After that move on to cranks and bottom bracket, headset, stem. With the gears you'd probably need to adjust the limit screws or the the barrel adjuster depending on what exactly the issue is. So go to youtube and search rear derailer adjusting etc. plenty of material online.

I had a similar creak and it was the seat post that just needed a little grease. Very hard to pinpoint but that's a good/easy start at least.

I had the seat post creak too. It me a while to discover it but a bit of grease cured it. Be sure to mark your saddle height before you remove it so it's refitted correctly.

I also have a noise that I identified on Saturday. It sounds like the chain rubbing the front mech but it happens in all gears. It is actually caused by the rear brake cable rubbing off the head tube. When I pull it away with my finger the noise stops. I just need a small bit if sticky bar tape to cure it.

I had a creak for the last little bit as well. Turns out it was the BB that needed to be re-greased. Thought it was the saddle or the chain ring bolts as both of them happened to be a little loose at the time

Bring it back to the store and ask them to resolve any issues you have. If the chain is rubbing then it either the rear/front derailleur hasn't been indexed correctly or possibly the chain needs a link taken out.

Brought it back last week and they adjusted the gears and tightened a few things and all is good. The bike is so smooth now.
