Are there disadvantages to rectangular or square downpipes by comparison with round ones, if you have a diverter to a rainwater butt?

Are rectangular or square ones, in black aluminium or some light metal or plastic, readily available in Ireland?

Comments and info would be greatly appreciated.

All easily available in any good hardware merchant
I'd always go for a round down pipe as if there's any awkward areas to get out of the round down pipe will always look tidy been able to twist into and out of any angle neatly. My 2 cents.

thanks -- the reason I'd like rectangular or square is that I already have black rectangular downpipes at the front of the house and would like to have rectangular ones at the back also, as before. But I'm installing a diverter for a rainwater butt at the back of the house and the trouble is, most of the diverters and accessories seem to be for round downpipes, and I've heard that the rectangular or square ones go out of shape and are more likely to leak than the round ones. Is that the case?
