Applying for Student visa while in Ireland

    My friend from Hong Kong is applying for a Higher-Diopma programme, and she also wish to visit Ireland before the study begins.

    Is it possible that she comes to Ireland on a travel stay, and also apply for student visa while she is in Ireland? If so, where does she need to send in application forms while in Ireland? Where can she extend the stay period once the student visa is approved?
