I'm sitting here with the Boss in me vest and knickers, and she's feckin freezing, but for fks sake it's nearly june, do women just feel the cold more than men or is my wife just a freak or what. Are all women allergic cold ?

So you're in your vest and Knickers, sitting beside Bruce Springsteen, and the wife is moaning about the cold?

    Did I get that right?

I got nicely sunburned today. Hopefully, I'll be bronzed by the end of Summer.

Hate to say it but the longest day of the year is in June. After that the days start getting shorter.

Women at work always turning up the heat, to the point where I cannot breathe.

Women have less fat around their internal organs (and more around their jiggly bits).

It causes them to feel cold more often as blood is redirected from arms and legs to keep the body warm.

Maybe she wouldn't be so cold if you gave her back her knickers.

I read somewhere that men and women actually do feel temperatures differently due to a different distribution of subcutaneous fat. Women are more sensitive to cold and take longer to warm up but once they are warm they can hold onto the warmth longer around their abdomen (a survival technique to keep organs and potentially pregnant belly alive) while limbs tend to suffer.

It's also supposedly why women can have absolutely boiling showers; their skin absorbs the heat more readily through the thicker layers of fat. Men have more muscle mass and less fat so they are able to maintain a better constant temperatue but extreme heat would be more uncomfortable to them than to women.

So, basically, all women have a layer of blubber and us men are all muscle bound hunks?

    Seems about right.

I'd actually be the opposite.. I'd be complaining about the heat while women around me would be talking about how cold it is.

This is even worse in a multinational where the facilities guys have to jack up the heating to try and keep those used to more Mediterranean climates happy... At least I have a window I suppose! (I actually lost a window seat years ago because it was needed for someone who needed more sunlight?? They didn't LOOK like a tulip, although....)

I only heard a while ago that a lot of people say knickers only for women from my girlfriend. Used to, and still do, call my own underwear knickers! Granda did the same as far as I remember. Ah well!

This weather is absolutely horrendous for May.

Where the hell is all this global warming they promised us????!

Autumn and spring are my favourite seasons. Winter is way too cold and it cost's a fortune to keep the place hot. I have a low tolerance to heat so some Summers can be too hot for me.

'twas the same for me growing up in my house.

I still cringe though when a friend calls his socks his stockings.

Women seem to have a specific gene that makes them want to alter shared office temperatures to sauna levels.

Yes, women feel the cold more than men. Windows open or closed?/Air con on or off? is a permanent battle of the sexes in every office.
