Big thumbs up for velo.ie in Birr.

200km into 600km gear cable snapped. Called in, 15 mins later back on road.

Thanks Ian, complete gent. Oh yeah refused to take any payment. Not local to shop and have only purchased two small items previously.

Sleep now 200km awaits in early morning

I always carry one rear brake/mech cables. They only weigh a few grammes.
Enjoy your last 200k and do not forget beer/couch therapy as soon as you get home.

Actually I had a cable, it was more a time management so as not to hold up co rider, we were within 25km of a control.

Couch and beer isn't the worst suggestion!
