Don't know any mechanics to look at this car

First time buying a car. Want to get a mechanic to look at a car but I don't know any mechanics or have any mechanic friends.

Do I just ring up a random garage near the guy who has the car and ask him to check it out?

Nct website and a deep suspicion of a car with that much test for such small money.

Now, to be fair, he could be just in the nct centre now and they're printing up the disc as we speak.

Nct site is usually up to date the same day though.

What's the difference between Next NCT Due By and Certificate Expiry Date?
I thought the NCT Cert would expire and be due on the same day :P

Far as I know, that date would be the date that the cert would run a year ahead from.

If you don't have any friends that have mechanics, maybe ask relatives.
