Hot Water Cylinder has started leaking

Noticed my hot water cylinder has start to leak, only a dribble coming out, but a leak is a leak. The area under the cylinder has gotten quite wet so unsure if it is because of a steady dribble or leaks more when the heating is on. Think its coming from the top pipe from the coil

We plan on fitting a stove with a back boiler later in the year/early next year so needed a new cylinder anyway. My question is, can we get a plumber to fit a new dual coil cylinder but blank off the pipes that will be going to the stove until it is fitted, then connect them up. Cant get through to the stove fitter we have had out so just asking here

We have just bought the house and have more immediate jobs to be done first hence why we were delaying fitting the stove. That would be done when funds allow. I dont think the leak can wait until then so needs to be done sooner but cant afford full stove and cylinder together right now.

Yes just fit a new dual coil cylinder. No need to blank the coils
