Hi all. A quick question about what I could use/do to restore the dull paint on the bonnet/mudguards/side panels of the JD7810. It's an 02 with only about 4500hrs and is getting a new toy to pull for the silage this year so it heads a bit of s spruce up. Any advice/recommendations? Thanks.

    T-Cut.
You will get it at a motor factors and just follow the instructions on the container.

@Dawggone-ha ha. There's a queue ahead of you got it. People have asked to buy it loads of times but it's gonna die with us.....hard to get to the end of the 8.1L though! @elperello-I was looking up the t-cut stuff alright but there's a lot of different products and not sure what to use. Also will I need one of those angle grinder attachments to buff the paint or what are your thoughts? I'm trying to keep the spend down as the JD mechanic gave 2 days in the yard solving any problems and servicing and I nearly cried when the bill arrived.

It just needs a bit of a lift. Did the four rims and then realised that the panels look lifeless. Plus (here comes the dumb bit)-new harvester on the way and want her looking the part.

Wipe clean lube oil on a small area with a rag, then see what it looks like before you do the rest. Hope it's a good summer though!

If the seat's wet, sit on yer hat, a cool head is better than a wet ar5e.

Tried the t-cut. Some job. A guy who valets cars told me to wash it then and slap on a bit of turtle wax if I have time. Shiny.........

Yes the wax will seal and protect it. All you need are a few clean clothes and a few hours elbow grease!!

Job should be finished tomorrow and harvester arrived from UK today. Not what was ordered but it'll do the first cut and the real one will arrive after that. I can almost smell the grass:)
