I want to make some of these for my class next year.
    http://www.kteachertiff.blogspot.ie/2014/07/diy-whisper-phones-too-easy-to-not-make.html

The bits I need seem really cheap in the US but finding it difficult to even get an idea of costs over here.

The pipe does not have to be that thick. Any suggestions on the best place to buy the pipe and elbows.

I would love 30 but could do with 6.

    Thanks

A small piece of pipe with a 90' elbow each end.
The idea is for children who take in the information that they are reading better if they say the words out loud.
So, in a class room where you may have quite a few children who need to read / learn this way, they can hold one end up to their ear, like a telephone, and whisper the words into the other end and still hear what they are saying without disturbing the other kids.
Sometimes it's the simple things that make the difference.
