How do you know it was cloned? Did you get a photo of the car in question going through a toll and it matched yours exactly? Could be misread plate on toll or could be incorrect plate someone got fitted in error to a completely different car.

Once it's reported as cloned can it not be flagged for traffic stop on Garda ANPR?

Probably burnt out (or re-cloned) by now.

Get hands on garda crime number, after that think it be case of waiting. If you get bills send them a letter explaining problems with garda crime number and garda details.

Until anything happens most companies are not interested in helping or not much they can do.

If they were smart enough to clone the reg, I doubt they are dumb enough to continue using it.

I'd suggest that you have a look on donedeal for cars like yours (same make, model, year and colour).

Person could have stolen a car, put your reg on it and is now trying to sell it. When the potential buyer does a history check, then it'll come up as your car and they'll believe that everything is okay. I've heard of a number of incidents like this before!

I wouldn't worry about it OP. If you do get fines or parking tickets etc then simply tell them it want you and that you were informed by Gardai that a cloned vehicle with the same reg was being used by criminals.
