Last year, I decided to give my old car a new set of spark plugs and ignition wire. I'm not sure though if I choose good ignition wires, as possibly they are of poor quality (but that's only my guess)

After less than a year, I started having problem with starting the car on colder wet morning, and after some trying, I found out it was caused by ignition coil.
Luckily I had seconds hand one, so fitted that and everything started working fine. Unfortunately this coil died as well after about 5 months - completely - car run only on 3 cylinders.
So to diagnose, I fitted the old one, which as previously is not great, but works.

I wonder now, could a ignition wires be the cause of ignition coils malfunctions.

I want to buy a new ignition coil now, but wonder if my ignition wires won't damage the new one as well.

What car is it and what brand of leads are they? Could be the wrong plugs either. I think if the resistance is changed some coil packs don't last as long.
