I have a 2007 Range rover sport 2.7 HSE with brembo brakes
    It has 73mls
    Black with Black leather
    Full main dealer service history
Compressor replaced Feb this year with the new AMK model
    20" alloys with good tires
NCT is due in a few days and I have a booking for 27/5
    Taxed until September
2 owners from new me and my wife
Overall its in great condition perfect on the inside and a few scrapes on the outside

I'm getting a new car on 1st July and did the deal without trading in

Whats the easiest way to sell and what should I expect to get

Probably worth your time advertising it on the likes of Carzone, Donedeal etc.

Probably better off advertising it after it passes NCT, to be sure it passes and you can honestly say that it is passed.

If it sold in the morning, would you be left without a car until 1st July? If so, you may say in the advertisement that it cannot be sold until that date but can be viewed anytime. I done that with a car before and it suited both myself and the buyer :)

Also add all the info that you gave in this thread, it sounds very good that it has only ever had 2 owners in 8 years - especially if it were only yourself and your wife!

If you dont want to have strangers around your house or whatever, there are certain garages that do buy cars. May be worth getting a quote from them.

I have a spare car so it will be ready to go after I put it though the NCT

Best thing to do IMO is to advertise it on Carzone with decent pictures and as much information on it. You may get some decent enquiries and it may get sold that way.

I dont know much about Range Rovers and how popular they are to buy or sell, but it also may be worth to call a few garages which deal with high-up second hand motors and see if they were interested to buy it. May be worth the call.

Top Tip - don't call it a Jeep when you advertise it (unless your target market is the Jackie Healy Rae constituency, in which case call it a "jaaayp" ).

i would agree with mhackett the likes of KARL GOODWIN MOTORS , LAMBE & O CONNOR , HARFORD MOTOR CO. CAMERON CARS might sell on your behalf and you pay them commision on sale price.

Commercialise it for the cheap tax will make it very sell-able.

once its been nct'd it should be easy to sell. good demand for them especially with FLRSH. Try and get scrapes sorted cheaply.

    Probably €17/18k going by Carzone.

I'm not sure if the scrapes can be fixed up cheaply the rear passenger door was keyed a few months after I got it and I never had it fixed
I don't think you can get a legit commercial rrs with rear seats so I don't want to go down that road

also im not to gone on the idea of having a load of tyre kickers coming looking at it

The tax is high about €1400 and thats a big put off trying to sell

If you're not that gone one "tyrekickers" coming to view it (which it will, they're a magnet for that kinda person) why didn't you do a deal to trade it in?

There's actually a chance you may not sell it by July, they can be a slow mover unless you price it very well.

the tax is the only downside, but anything sells ones marketed correctly, so good pics on the reputable sites should be first point of sale, dd is generally full of tyre kickers so you have to allow for this, but there are some decent buyers so you just have to accept the ups and downs

No point getting a good deal straight, to lose your balls on the sale.
Have you priced the trade in difference?

    Advertise it for 15k online.

would you not try the dealers i suggested ? though if the paint cant easily be repaired they might not be interested. you should do better if you get them to sell on commission basis
