    Hi ,

I have what I fear may be a stupid question to those more in the know than myself.

I had 1000's & 1000's of photos which have now filled the HDD on my Laptop. I have about 350gb of storage with Copy.com - and all of my photos are stored there also.

If I delete the photos from my HDD will they disappear from copy.com also once it syncs with my laptop?

How do I go about using cloud storage to allow me free up HDD space?

No cloud question is stupid , there are a tonne of backup solutions like that , the setting should be somewhere in the software for sync options as to which side wins ie i delete from lappy and it then reomves from cloud - else contact the vendor they will tell you quick enough . Most default to a standard that if you delete from lappy it does not remove from cloud unless an option to do so is checked.(opt in or out options) if the app has a little icon on your system tray then pull it open and review its options and settings.

Google Drive allows for unlimited free storage of photos, if you allow them to compress them down to a "HIgh Quality" size which equates to about 16MP ish. Hard to beat.

I had an email from copy.com a while back saying their service was being discontinued
