No matter what way you are voting in either of the two referendums taking place on Friday. Ensure your vote counts by sticking to a few simple rules.
•No badges, no T Shirts, NOTHING that says the words YES or NO.

So you'll have to excuse my ignorance here, but can you be precluded from voting if you were wearing a slogin leaning one way or the other?

    Italics are strictly frowned upon.

Just don't wear one of those things. What's the problem - you have to be in someone's face with your opinion even during voting?

It can be seen as canvassing which is not allowed at polling stations.

Sorry, OP I didn't mean to sound so aggressive.
If the rules state to not have clothes on you that show your view then there's always one or two freemen who will want to stick it to the man by some loophole.

What if all my clothes seem 'a bit gay'?

I have a blue t-shirt and I've been told I look positively flaming when I wear it.

    So I can't wear that?

Happened to me a few years back

Big bloody no badge on me so needless to say I got pointed to the door

Took it of and apologized profusely and was let vote
The fact that I voted in every poll since turning 18 helped me out as they could have outright refused me

I don't like the free marketing for Uber and that other company in the sticky. Uber in particular, is a shíthole of a company, which Boards shouldn't give any advertising to even if they paid for it:
