It's on their website, no mention of offer expiry though (that I can see).

It seems some Carphone Warehouse staff might not be au fait with current deals/products. I changed my phone recently. They told me the deal was for 12 months, 250Mb, leather case in 'extras' pack, but turned out to be 24 months, 125Mb, and the case is not leather.

What plan is giving you 125mb of data locked into a 12mth contract?!? I'd be more worried about that than the quality of the case.

The new ID Mobile tarriffs starts at 125mb

I can vary any part of the plan, at an extra cost, but rarely if ever use data on my phone. The case doesn't bother me, but it's nice when people are honest............. Are people still honest?

125 mb in a month. It's 1999 all over again. You can't be serious.

Some people have access to WiFi 90% of the time and don't use much mobile data. I think it's great that you have the option to go that low, if it suits you.

I don't think paying €3 p.m. for it is good though. :pac:

That's insanity a couple of play store apps updating would wipe that out in seconds! How could you possibly stretch that to 30 days?

All of my apps are set to update over Wifi. You'd be surprised how little mobile data is used when its usage is generally background stuff while driving or whatever.

Wifi in work, Wifi at home, Wifi in the coffee shop/restaurant.. and so on.

I used just 98mb mobile data on my phone last month. Seriously.

Your the exception rather than the rule Kenny. Absolute madness taking a small data allowance in this day and age.

Any chance they would repeat the HTC One M7 bargain from earlier this year?

Missing the point - these low caps, as with low minutes and texts, are to suit your own usage, not "the rule". That's the basis of their tarriff structure. My point is that offering this option isn't as daft as it appears to you, or anyone else that uses mobile data more often.

BTW, I find it daft that people still listen to CDs and watch DVDs, but they're still catered for. :)

Carphone Warehouse also have a very good offer on Sky tv broadband and calls. They also give u a €100 voucher to spend in store. Not sure of exact deal but supposed to be cheaper than dealing direct with Sky

That was a bit like a lot of the Argos "bargains". Great price but out of stock everywhere after a couple of hours.

It's good to have the option though. For example, my Dad uses his phone for calling and texting an insane amount so he has a contract with tonnes of minutes and texts. It also comes with loads of data of which up until about 6 months ago he used exactly zero (he didn't have a smart phone up until then). Even now with his smart phone he uses next to nothing data wise. If he could save a few euro and bring down his data allowance, why not.

Because relatively speaking ID Mobiles plans are very poor compared to what is already been available from Tesco Mobile for the last two years!

Take you dad for instance, it sounds that for him the best ID plan would be:

    €20 - 5000 minutes, 5000 texts, 125/250MB data

But for the last two years from Tesco Mobile he could get:

€15 - Unlimited calls, unlimited texts, 1GB of Data

or 5GB of data for €20

And don't forget you can convert €5 worth of Tesco clubcard points into a free €15 top-up.

ID's plans are just really bad. They are trying to trick people into worse value for money by pretending they are giving them more flexibility.
