Ford Focus 2010 Issues

Mother's Focus is acting up. Its a 1.6 diesel 2010 hatchback.

These errors happened originally and mechanic changed alternator. They went away for a bit but have returned.

Electric windows locked and won't open.

Hand break light comes on when hand break is off.

    Battery light comes on

Another light which apparently means car is unstable on the road.

Boot and bonnet open errors are also coming up.

But yet on long journeys these errors don't happen?

Have heard of some funny issues in the focus if there is
    1. The wrong type of battery installed
    2. The battery is has a fault.

I had lots of error messages on the dash and the car went into limp mode, it was caused by a fault in the instrument cluster that can be fixed by an auto electrical mechanic

About 30 miles a day country driving. Only parked from 6pm to following morning.

Interesting limp mode. As in stuttering struggling for power? She is fine first couple miles then if you get windows to go down they stutter, same with washer sprayer and wipers.

Interestingly this stutter won't happen if you turn on all the air conditioning instruments. But if you turn em off its stutters again....

Have a 1.8 diesel 2009 and had some odd issues last year,

Light on dash showing skidding sometimes (as mentioned by op) ,
Car died once or twice while driving
Power steering died shortly after starting once
Had to jump it once or twice

All turned out to be due to battery, once replaced all was fine
