    maybe you applied over a week ago and there is more than one weeks payment. You should get a notification from Dept of Soc. Protection when your payment commences explaining it too you.

    No they back payed me nearly 2,000 for a few months while they processed the claim, i got that. I also asked when i applied for a years back payment from when my illness started (as i wasn't working or indeed able) so could be that.
