I have a 92 fiat 88 94 tractor in good condition and never had any problems with it until now. Today I was using a hydraulic transport box. When i used the hydraulics to tip the box it pushed out the ram but when I wanted to pull the ram back the hydraulics would not work. I tried it with a few other machines but nothing worked. I changed pipes around but it made no difference. There appears to be no hydraulic pressure in one pipe. If anyone has any ideas it would be great.

Is it a 2 way ram? If so maybe your selector is worn.

Where the linkage connects to the actual spool valve, there is a piece of grey cast alloy. Its held onto the valve block with two small allen screws. This piece is made of some kind of Mazak alloy junk, and often breaks.
Have a look and see if its intact still. Although you should almost know by the "Feel" of the lever in the cab.

    Looks like this.

    Hi
Me again with a problem with a 88 94. What is the warning light on the bottom left of the dash. I cant make out the symbol and it flashes red every so often. I think it may be the brake symbol but not sure. I have checked the back end for oil and its fine. I stopped using it when this light flashed as a red light is never good. Any one with any information please

Universal oil is NOT for the brakes

The brake fluid reservoir is under the bonnet above the engine oil filters

The oil to use is LHM mineral oil.

Universal oil is for the backend.
