stove prepration for a new build

Im looking to put a stove in the corner of my new extension, what should I put on the back of the wall, I was thinking of a sand and cement render and putting stone cladding on that, or would a cement board be a better option, The wall behind the stove is pumped with beaded insulation, Any tips or advice would be grate…
