Combi boiler install rough costs

I'm considering having our existing gas boiler removed and getting a combi boiler installed, one of the boilers that gives instant hot water. It's in a mid terrace three bed house in Dublin and I'm trying to get a very rough idea of the costs of this.

Even vaguely, can someone let me know roughly what I should budget for the installation and removal of old system (presumably the attic water tank and hot water cylinder would go as well).

you will have to keep your attic tank and have a pump serving your combi boiler.

your hot water cylinder can be taken out.

roughly you would be talking 2400-3200.

alot of factors to be taken in,access of feed to combi, upgrading the gas line is a major factor to look at.

Thanks. I've been told that people who have them that they got rid of their attic tank as well, is that different system?

No that's the same system but usually it's fitted in the UK like that because they have much better water pressure. Irish water pressure is dreadful and inconsistent so fitting a pump fed from the attic tank will guarantee you a consistent high pressure that your boiler needs.

We paid 2800 for ours, not a big house though.

my dad installed the system you described when he was renovating the current family home in 1990. No bloody pump or tanks, simply the boiler run from mains pressure, its a simple and fantastic system... In my area, Dublin 14 water pressure is fine, no need for a pump and there is no way we would want one in the house if at all possible...

It's also against Dublin city council regs as far as I know
