What I want to do is secure the cover to the bars .

Its last years gazebo , and as you can see the summer weather took its toll and the attachments are broken .

The bars are already screwed to the wall , so its the cover I need to tie down.

    Any ideas ?

Grab a pile of these from your local hardware shop:

Are they strong enough to stay in place during light winds , and would they tear the cloth ?

I'd say they would hold in a light breeze....... the tarp/cloth would probably slide free before tearing. Worth a try maybe?

Tech 7 is the only job for that.

Is Tech7 available in most local hardware stores ?

Don't use Tech 7 or any other adhesive to bond the cover to the poles if you ever want to take the gazebo apart again.
However you could double over the seam and glue the edge with Tech 7 to create a kind of hoop/tunnel through which you slide the pole.

Or glue on a load of fabric hoops to the cloth, the more the merrier and can be done in-situ.

Tech 7 readily available, bonds everything.

I'd go with clips but if they have trouble holding....Get a bit of pipe slightly larger than the one you have. Slit it down its length. Wrap tarp over existing pipe and wrap new cut pipe over it. Will be tight, removable and look good.

    Execellent idea.

How do you get the slit pipe to slide is the thing?

Will buy the Tec 7 over the weekend and give it a go .

The pipe sounds good idea , but it would probably tear the cover .

Might just use some of those clips as well .

Surely self adhesives Velcro is the answer? Stick to pole and sew into cover?

The clips would work, with cable ties around the open part if there is room behind the pipe/bar

I have a similar issue here - what did you do in the end to sort out the gazebo?

Eventually got around to sorting this out .- Got the Tec7 as suggested above , or actually Trans7 is written on tube.

This is seriously good adhesive , and I couldn't believe how quickly it set .

Has to be tested yet though when the wind rises a bit .

As said above though , we wont be able to dismantle the gazebo again now that we've used this adhesive .

Got some great suggestions in this thread , but I wanted a permanent fixture as its in a sheltered area , and hopefully Trans7 does the job .
