Z3 jumping to Play Store

    My Z3 has a habit of automatically opening up the play store when using the gmail app.

    I hit Gmail, and it will open it but straight away open up the play store to a game page for download, most recently Words with Friends and some war game.

    Has anyone had this problem, it's more annoying than anything. Any ideas on how to stop this happening.

    What app are you using to open your gmail? clearly its a pop up ad thats with it.

    Its the pre installed Gmail one.

    Try mailbox. Its from dropbox and ive never seen any ads on mine.
    There are numerous other email clients you could try

    Can you give details such as
    - you've unpicked the box in Security/Settings saying allow installation of 3rd party apps?
    - you've once responded to a pop-up advert about increasing phone speed etc and installed the app
    - you experience this problem while putting the phone in safe mode for a few hours
    - you have installed many children apps
    which usually have adverts redirecting you to play store
