    Hi,
2 months ago I switched from 3. I rang cancelled the contract a year in advance & paid by card all costs. The outstanding bill & the years contract - all debited. A month later I get a letter stating that a direct debit looking for €40 from my account came back to them. Obviously I had cancelled it. I rang them & they stated to ignore the letter I definitely had a 0 balance. Then again last week I get a letter stating that an outstanding amount of 0 yes ZERO - had been rejected again & I had to settle immediately.
Apart from being extremely frustrated, I am also extremely worried about this affecting my credit rating. Is this possible?
I am hoping to apply for a mortgage soon & am very worried.

    TIA

It can only impact your credit rating if they take you to court, win, and get a judgement against you. I doubt an outstanding balance of 0 is them worth taking to court. :D

Sounds like you have nothing to worry about.
