Can't seem to find a thread on this, correct me if im wrong.

For those of you that would have bought policies online with AA, how long was it before you got your Insurance Display for the window?

I paid and all details went through last thursday and theres still no sign of it here and its Tuesday. I am terrified driving around without it on display to be honest, it has the potential to cause alot of trouble? But then again I need to get too and from work

You can drive it without the disc as long as the company have you covered.
I'm not with AA but usually it takes 4 days or so to get the disc in the post.

Pick up the phone and ring them to set your mind at ease.

Have had my past few policies with them and it takes a while for the disc to arrive, but it will, don't panic

So theres no chance of penalty points for non-display? I don't have any and would like to keep it that way :)

There are two offences, failure to display and driving without insurance.

Put the receipt in the glove box and most reasonable Gardai should wave you on. Its completely down to the Garda on the day however. Distant selling means the first offence really should be striken in the presence of proof of purchase, but its currently on the case.

They don't use An Post so it is slower than normal mail. I rang them when mine didnt arrive after three days before and they told me they use a private postal company so NOT next day delivery like An Post give.
