Could someone tell me what grass intake would you allow for friesan holstein bulling heifers. Weight around 250-300kgs. And also how much of a livestock unit are they. Want to do a small grass budget for heifer ground to see if I can take a few paddocks out. Thanks

I would count them as 0.4 of a livestock unit. And think they should eat around 4% or 5% of their body weight. If ur even in a position of thinking about taking out paddocks, then just do it, warm temps on the way and grass jumping outta the ground as it is.

Isn't it 3% of their body weight in dry matter for grass and 1.8 for silage?
