We have removed warped plasterwork from our wall and have a plasterer coming to redo the plasterwork. We found parts of the wall crumbled as shown and are wondering should we buy some filler to repair this before the plasterer comes. Can anyone advise please?

Don't use filler it would be useless for this you need to use sand and cement for a proper job.
You can get handy mix packs in most builders merchants or diy stores mix it as per instructions and fill the damaged section. This will need to dry for at least 24 - 48hrs before plastering

Wouldn't bother with the cement, too messy! Bonding Plaster is much easier to use, is cheaper, will stick better and dry faster.
