Kia 7 year warranty and servicing?

I'm thinking of buying a used Kia as I'm very impressed with the 7 Year warranty.

I'm just trying to find out if I'm able to service the car wherever I like and still keep the warranty, or does it have to be serviced by an official Kia garage?

It doesn't have to be serviced by Kia under the block exemptions but it needs a check by Kia yearly meaning you're not going to save any money getting two separate garage trips done. I'd keep with Kia servicing.

OK thanks! Just checking as the nearest Kia dealer to me is a good distance, compared to my local mechanic who's a 2 min walk from my house!

Only needs to be inspected by a Kia dealer once every 12 months during the warranty period afaik. Also the warranty has a limit of either 7 years or 150,000 km, which ever comes first.

But as muppetCheck said, I could kill 2 birds with one stone and get the service and inspection done at the same time?

Yes you can but my point is that if your doing a lot of miles and getting the car serviced more than once a year then you only need to bring to the Kia dealer once every 12 months and get your local mechanic to service it in between. If your doing low or average mileage then it makes sense just to bring to the Kia dealer once a year.
