    Hi

I have just moved into an apartment & the boost function on my Horstmann (pic attached) doesn't appear to work - when I turn the dial anti-clockwise, the boost light doesn't click on, & water doesn't heat.

Firstly, am I doing something wrong, or what might be wrong with it? Is it fixable?

Secondly, if replacement is the proposed remedy, can you recommend the latest & most user friendly programmable timer unit, and any recommendations on who can install in Dublin?

When you are using the boost facility the switch on the right needs to be in the timed position, as in your picture.
If it is in this position and you are not getting the boost light coming on, then most likely it will need to be replaced.
If the light comes on and still no hot water, then the immersion needs replacing or resetting.
If the clock needs to be replaced I would recommend the Grasslin Eco, which is far more user friendly and functional than the one that you have.
