Any home brewers out there looking for a corny keg? The Homebrew Company are selling second hand kegs for €41.95 each or 3 for €120. The price does not include the €4.95 delivery fee but if you want to avoid that fee you can pick up your purchase in person. Limited offer so get them before they're gone... https://www.thehomebrewcompany.ie/beer-wine-equipment-cornelius-keg-systems-c-2_25.html

What else would I need to complete the system?

You want to brew your own beer? There are lots of different systems out there you need to find one that suits you.

How do the Corny kegs work, though?

Like I'm sure you'd need gas and probably 3 or 4 other bits and pieces which would be expensive enough ontop of the €40 for this.

I'm interested in this. Can you carb the beer over a few weeks like you would in bottles or do you have to force carb them? Like I seen in a few YouTube videos tonight.

Can brew the hooch no problem, but I normally bottle it. If I put it in one of these kegs, what else do I need? Co2 can, regulator, tap -- is that it?

Yeah cornies are great, I bottled and did some 5l kegs but Cornie kegs are the way to go.
You need co2, costs about 25 euro for a refill or 50 for tank and fill plus a co2 regulator, its the same as a co2 welder regulator. Then put the fermented beer in the keg, flush out the o2, pump it up to 40 psi with co2 and give it a few days ease it back to 6 psi and you are ready to roll.

Where do you get your co2 tanks and refills?

As part of their special offer, they have also reduced the prices on the disconnects needed to hook up beer and gas lines.

I have 6 at home myself, this is a brilliant price and I doubt you will find them cheaper anywhere in the world at the moment.

In the first week they were launched, I think the price was €35 as in introduction to the sale as a thank you to their existing customers for years of business and €41 is the normal sale price.

You can knock another 5% off the order as a full Beoir or NHC member too.

Kegging is a large up front investment but once you take the plunge, having beer on tap is just the best thing ever.
Don't forget, ideally you want to keep your kegs chilled. Converting a free/cheap fridge in to a kegerator is quite simple if you have the space. Otherwise, a bucket of ice water will do in a pinch. If you get a fridge with a reversible door, that means there are probably no electrics and you can safely drill in to the door.
