Garmin edge 500 vs 510

I am currently using a Garmin Edge 200. I am considering upgrading to either the 500 or 510 as I want to be able to monitor HR and Cadence. Is it worth spending the extra on the 510? Also I have a garmin running watch with a heart rate strap would this work with the 500/510 ? Thanks.

510 syncs via your phone (Bluetooth) so saves plugging it into the pc after a spin so very handy

You'll more than likely end up doing this to charge it anyway.
If there's a significant saving to be had I'd go for the 500.
