What are the odds of getting 3 stars on Winning Streak? Also how many people would send 3 stars on a weekly basis? Thank you I'm curious as I know a guy who got 3 stars in a row.

Dunno but judging by who's on the show every week your odds increase significantly if you're over the age of 105.

Odds are not the same as chances...oddly.

Thank you I'm curious as I know a guy who got 3 stars in a row.

    1. 58 million to 1.

    2. 28,000.

He could also have got 3 stars not in a row.

What I mean is he bought 3 tickets and he got 3 stars on all of them.

Three tickets over what period of time?

I mean three tickets out of how many?

What I mean is he bought 3 tickets and he got 3 stars on all of them.

Then he lost €9 and the price of 3 stamps.

Three stars make people feel like they've won something when they haven't. Doesn't cost anything so they're probably quite common.

    What?

I know you're new and all op, but you can't come on to AH and make such wild claims as this without posting pics or something.

You know a lad got three stars on a scratch card.....

Yeah and I once swam up the Niagara falls:rolleyes:

That's not based on any factual information

3/3 - He went to one SHOP and bought all 3 tickets at the same time. Thats what I mean by 'in a row' you don't need to believe me. I'm just asking what is the chance of getting on the show for him? And whats the chance of getting 3 stars in a row.

After you send your 3 stars in. Only 100 of the thousands that get sent in every week are actually put into the drum for the show.

Which is the reason that the spread of counties who get on doesn't represent the population of the country. If it did there would be one or two from Dublin every week.

A draw which does reflect randomness is Prize Bonds. Every week out of 7,300 prizes half come from Dublin and Cork combined. Every week without fail. And every serial number sequence is represented each week, even a few bonds 60 years old.

If you buy your scratch cards in Dublin and you get the three stars, you are seriously prejudiced against by the Winning Streak show. When they pick the five competitors out of the drum, looks to me like they put an even number in from each county to give everyone "a fair chance". So if 200 people send in the three stars in Leitrim, and 1000 people do it in Dublin, you're five times less likely to get picked for the show if you enter via Dublin. I think that's unfair

My mother got a letter off them a couple of years ago telling her to watch that Saturday as she was in the drum that pulls out next weeks players.
She wasnt one of the lucky 5 or however many there are
