    Wondering about a 2010 Astra diesel 2010 are they a good diesel I know the older satraps had a problem with water pumps anyone have any tips on this

    You need to provide a bit more detail. The Astra was available with 3 different diesel engines - 1.3 litre, 1.7 litre and 2.0 litre.

    Afaik the 1.7 cdti engine is a modernized version of a Isuzu engine that GM have been using since the late 1980s. Reliable engine but not very refined by today's standards. It's now been replaced by GM's own new 1.6 cdti engine.
