    Afternoon!
Just a quick question, gotta porch on the front of the house. Solid concrete walls, but they're Flaky and damp.
If they were to be dry lined and insulated would it make a difference?
Or would it still be damp?

What kinda roof is on it ? They often have poured concrete roofs that are a problem .
Trocall insulated roof and external insulation makes a job of them . If there's rising damp maybe chemical damp proofing of the walls and/or a new floor with radon barrier under it .

Tis a sloped concrete roof. If that's what ya mean?
That Trocall stuff? Is it expensive?

Fixed one recently on a house were renovating. I got sheets of flashings formed to fit over the roof neatly and cement sheeted the exterior, dry lined the inside and it's a super job. The flashing sheets can be got to a fair size so you can get upstands and folds all done with a single sheet in a dark grey that looks just like the trocal at a fraction of the price. I think the roof covering for the last porch was around e60.

Do you batton the concrete and insulate between the battons then before sheeting ?
Is it anyone in the west folding the sheeting for you ? I can't get much flashing for €60 .
What finish do you use on the cement board ?
    Sorry for all the questions!

Metal battens like you would use in metal studding. There's a bucket render for cement sheet , the same as you would put on external insulation. The lad I use for sheeting is up north.
