Serious machine there, Video editing and rendering I'm assuming?

GPU is weak spot as you've said, mightn't be an issue for you, if its gaming then change it though.

Get a good case, things are going to get hot in there.

Not sure is 750w is needed, not sure what a hexacore Intel chip pulls but I can't imagine its anything close to that.

Thanks for the power supply comment, to be honest I just assumed that more is better and it's better to have it than not?

It will be used for gaming, I was hoping that the card would get me through a year or so. I'd rather swap out a graphics card in a year than try to put in a new motherboard or processor.

    Pure gaming machine is it?

    Yeah, and general browsing.

Absolutely no need then so, even a 4790k will last 5+ years. Games are primarily single core now, its starting to change, but less stronger cores is generally better. A 4790k with a Z97 could save you over €200 here, to put towards a 970 say, or a 290x. When you're gaming, the graphics card is your defining factor for the most part

Not saying I don't appreciate the advice, but changing that would change everything, new motherboard and ram. Right now I'm not looking to make any major changes, as I said at the beginning I'm really just checking to make sure there isn't something stupid that I've missed.
Have I gone too far with the power supply?

Your money I suppose, all I'm offering is advice. I think so yeah, I'll check out what a hexacore pulls in a few minute. Crucial Ballistix 240 pin ram and a ASRock Pro4 z97 is all the changes you'd need for one example

A pretty hefty over clock (to 4ghz!) Will pull about 520w on that GPU, so I'd say a 550w or 600w is loads. Maybe 600w to leave space for extra peripherals or a next gen AMD card.

Nanoxia DS3 or DS1 would be a decent case for you, DS3 is pretty cold, loads of room inside, its about 65 euro from hwvs

Hmm I wasn't actually coming here looking for a case but thanks for that. It appears to be made for the type of motherboard I'm getting (ATX) and has plenty of fans.

Will prob pick up a cheap network card even though it'll be used on wired internet. So it's just a CD drive left again I'll pick up a relatively cheap one, I don't suppose it matters too much.

    Thanks for your help.

For close to the same price, would this be an upgrade on the graphics card? http://www.hardwareversand.de/4096+MB/223152/MSI+GeForce+GTX+960+Gaming+4G%2C+4GB+GDDR5.article

Slightly worse performance, runs cooler though, bit more ram.

Would you not get 4 sticks of 4GB RAM to utilize the quad channel RAM?
