What the story with Argos?

Are argos winding down here or what?
My wife has been complaining about Argos of late.
When she checks for items - a lot of items seem to be permanently out of stock. I've checked myself and have to agree.
When u check other stores all over the country, none of them have the items in stock but still showing on website. It looks like they are not replacing stock once sold out. And there was a time if a particular store didn't have an item, you got the option to order it in.

Are there any rumours out there?

Cant say either way but I would find it hard to believe that Argos would be winding down. Every time I go in they seem to be packed. I never seem to have any problems with stock availability either unless the item is heavily reduced in price.

Are you sure you are not just searching for end of catalogue items that may be set for clearance. Can you give some examples of the items you are looking for.
