    Different rules and regulations regarding trailers. You can pull a single axel trailer with your full licence up to a certain weight. If you want to pull a double axel trailer then you must have a trailer licence AFAIK.

    Amount of axles is irrelevant.

    By tractor trailer you mean to draw it with a tractor?
    IMO yes, you can if you hold category B licence, no matter if Irish or other EU country.

    I presume you need to have the W category on the liscence.
    I don't think a B cat supersedes and covers a tractor unless the W cat is there also.
    Once you have the W you can indeed draw a tractor trailer.

    Also, your license might cover it but your insurance might not.
