Outdoor fireplace - chimney height?

    Hi,

I am considering building an outdoor fireplace. We live in an urban housing estate (generous-ish gardens among all detached housing).

I would place it in the corner, furthest away from all adjacent houses.

Obviously I don't want any smoke impacting me or neighbours... so are there regulations governing the height that the chimney stack (or pipe) must be for an outdoor fireplace?

    Failing regulations, any good practice/suggestions?

Note: neighbour behind has a relatively low chimney (from solid fuel stove) that extends only 3.5 metres from ground level, out from a first floor lean to roof.

My build is something along the lines of the photo attached.

    Thanks for any help/advice.
