    Hi

I am keen to find out if anyone has experienced what I am at the moment.

I am currently searching for new opportunities in finance/accounting and applied for a role I wasn’t sure I was 100% qualified for but close enough to apply. I was invited to interview and had the 1st round with a HR person. I have since been invited back for a 2nd round with the senior management, which I am currently preparing for.

However I was looking on the company’s website recently and I noticed that they have re-posted the role. This has confused me slightly as I haven’t even had the second round yet.

Has anyone else ever experienced this? If so why do companies do this?

Why wouldn't they re-post the role? It's still vacant.

You have not filled the role yet, so it is prudent.

Plus, they need to cover themselves.

What if you don't want it? A prudent jobseeker continues looking for work even while interviewing and vice versa.
