Curried Nautilus

I recently filled a Nautilus with Mount Baker Vapor USA Blend. The flavour is okay if unremarkable but it leaves the environs reeking of a strong and lingering curry odour. I can't rid the Nautilus of the curry smell. I have soaked it in detergent overnight. I have rinsed it several times in vodka. Nothing works. The glass tank is purged but the metal chimney and base still stink.
    Any suggestions?

    Bizarre.

Unlikely to work because you've already tried vodka but vinegar and bicarbonate soda is very effective at getting rid of smells. Lemon too. Worth trying before you feck it out.

Any strong menthol juice should do the trick.
Nothing cuts a lingering smell/flavour like it IMO.

Of course, then you are left with menthol smell! (Buts its easier to get rid of)

That's an idea. Have it soaking in Andrews Liver Salts. It's bubbling nicely.

I'll try that if the Andrews doesn't work.

I find the Sonic cleaner works great in removing a smell from a tank

The Andrews has certainly helped. Only a slight trace of curry now. Thanks for the suggestion RIchieNouveau.

Can they be used for cleaning coils too? An Aspire BVC for example?

Yeah sort of. You'll never get it 100% clean because that sh1ts burned in good I find. Although with the aspire heads can you dry burn them first? Not sure if they are cotton or not.

The new models are "organic cotton", according to the packaging.

I've put an ultrasonic cleaner on my shopping list.
