Bus Galway-Dublin airport

I will take a bus from Galway to Dublin airport and my time is tight: are buses (Citylink and Gobus) usually on time? Can I rely on their scheduled arrival times? (it will be Sunday, so I suppose less traffic… :) )
My flight is at 18.00 (already checked in, so I have to be there just 30 mins before), my options are:
Gobus Galway 13.45 > Dub. Airport 16.45 (via Dublin city)
Citylink Galway 14,30 > Dub. Airport 17.00 (airport direct)
And, can I buy the ticket on the bus or is it necessary to buy it in advance?
    Thanks!

Yes both companies travel the motorway so there is little which would alter the schedule. You can pay on the bus but you are not guaranteed a seat if everyone else books online. It's also slightly discounted price online.

It depends very much on the time of day and how busy the airport is but you can spend up to 30 minutes going through Security even if you're already checked in. For an 18:00 flight I'd probably chance a bus scheduled to arrive at 16:45 but I'd still feel I was cutting it fine.

I use Gobus about 3 times a year and never any problems. Always found them to stick to timetables.

The reason I use gobus is that with buseireann you cannot book a seat, you just have to queue and hope, this is not much fun if A/ It's raining or B/ You have a plane to catch. Buseireann would be better for me because I have a bus pass but I want a guaranteed seat.
