Gay apparentely. Does anyone really care about people being gay anymore ? Saddest thing is she felt she had to keep it hidden for the best part of her life.

Unfortunately there is still a stigma for certain generations when it comes to sexuality in Ireland and indeed many other countries.

I couldn't care if someone is gay. I know so many people who share the same view. If someone is gay, then they are gay.

I understand In recent times any stigma of being gay is going. So more and more people are coming out. But to the rest of people it's like.... Ok you're gay. Who cares. What's on the tv.

Some people find it hard to come to terms with themselves for any number of reasons. We are a society with a guilt complex and a tendency to be overly sceptical of trivial matters. I'm not surprised she felt a need to keep it to herself. A lot of people still do. My own brother was embarrassed by it himself upto a few years ago. We once went to a gay bar for his birthday and he tried to tell us it was because his friends wanted to go there.

I'm confused. Are we talking about Ursula Halligan?
How do OP know she's gay, apparently?
