What time is "In the morning," really?

Hmm I'm curious about something:

anyone with iOS ask Siri "Remind me 'In the Morning,' [to do bla bla bla]" - what time does she/it set the reminder to go off at?For me it's 7am. (What do other phones say?)

Well that also means that siri is not a semantic, literal @%$.... Good for her! What time do you have to slog out of bed in the morning? Or have you forgotten the concept of mornings altogether?

It's completely contextual.

1am is technically, 1 o'clock in the morning. But if somebody said "I'll be over in the morning", you aren't expecting them then.

If your wife said "remind me in the morning" (or "we're having sex in the morning" if she's still your GF ) That's means "when wake up", could be 7am on weekdays, but 9am on weekends.

If a delivery is coming "in the morning", that means anytime before 12pm imo.

I don't need a phone to tell me when the morning is. If I say I'll do it in the morning it means: after 9am on a weekday or after 11am at the weekend.

In the morning means before midday (12 O'Clock Noon).

If I promise to do something this morning, then I would make sure I had it done well before midday. After midday is the afternoon!

the question is, why do you need siri to remind you of something instead of writing something in your agenda and set the date/time yourself.
