    Hi all

I recently started new job and handed in my p45. After not receiving any notification from revenue I rang them up and gave them my employers registered number and was told all would be sorted this week. Today I received my pay packet and im no longer paying emergency tax but I never received any money back for all the emergency tax I was paying for last 5 weeks?

Does anyone know what I need to do to claim that back? In every other job I just received the money in my wages.

    Any help would be appreciated

You must be on a week 1 so and not cumulative? Once you come off week 1 you will get it back.

Ya my 1st "normal" week pay has week one on it. So I can expect my emergency tax back next week?

No, your best bet is to contact your payroll and Revenue and find out why you were put on to week one instead of cumulative. Otherwise you'll probably just stay on week one going forward.

Nope, you need to find out why you're on week 1, call your local tax office and ask why you arent on cumulative.
