Hoping tomorrow is enigma codes day in the first at Dundalk. He is well handicapped (wins in the high 60s, placed in the 70s on turf in 2013) and has threatened recently off the same mark. Has a nice draw here and the change to the hogan yard can certainly do no harm. I can also discount 5 of them with a certain degree of confidence.

Just got 10s with powers I could see that looking generous come post time.

I rarely get word for a horse but brother of a stable lad in Fahys yard has told me a big run is expected of Thelobstercatcher in the 8.20 Kilbeggan. Make of that what you will. Townend onboard, I've had a bet at 12's.

One Pursuit 14-1. Ham 19:25. This horse loves the soft ground and have traveled 367 miles to get there.

    Worth an each way bet

Prices are not great and are getting progressively shorter but I think both Igider (7.25 Hamilton) and Yasmeen (3.45 York) have massive chances today.

Also quite like Eternitys Gate (2.55 Newbury) and Rosies Premiere (4.20 York) at bigger prices.

Backed it myself last night with Betfair at 8s then powers at tens. I had put this up a few times before. last chance saloon for me tonight. I see its blue across the boards and best price 5s.

I have had a few quid on Little Arrows in the last as well at 33s who is also well handicapped.

Flicka's Boy running in the 4.20 at York today...he was in my head all day yesterday and I had no idea why...I didn't even know he was running! Seems good value at 16's, but do ye fancy his chances? It's a pretty big field

On Location has a nice change in the second last at Dundalk. It was a bad maiden she won here but she couldn't have done it any easier, and fared a lot better than the bare result in a good Listed race won by Parish Hall, being the last off the bridle before blowing up on bad ground (she's American bred would have hated it) backed her at 10/1. Fog of War could be hard enough to beat though but she was overpriced and has a nice chance

Thought Hanagan could have made more use of Yasmeen up front there

Some price now, 7-2 and 3-1 in some place. Wonder is it actually a gamble or did they just realise they had him overpriced earlier and covering their books. Might come back to a reasonable price at opening show if the latter is true
